As a Supplier Technical Assistance Engineer you will represent client at supplier manufacturing facilities across North America, requiring you to travel as much as 80% of the time. You will take a leadership role with client and with our suppliers regarding product launch and current model quality. You will be empowered to make quality decisions on behalf of the company and authorize legal documents, such as the Part Submission Warrant.
Candidates must possess the following skills: - Strong analytical problem solving skills. - Strong knowledge of AIAG APQP and PPAP processes. - Strong Program management and computer skills. - ISO9001:2000 and/or ISO/TS16949:2002 knowledge/experience. - High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse people and cross-functional teams. - Effective oral and written communication skills.
Additionally, you will be responsible for: ¿Pro-Actively Mitigating Supply Constraints that will involve engagement on-site at Supplier locations. ¿Interfacing and managing relationships with Suppliers, Client Site STA Management, Capacity Planning, Purchasing, Material Logistics personnel. ¿Managing, Executing & Communicating status of Capacity Verification Audits for vehicle lines with Capacity Uplift actions. ¿Reviewing incremental capacity work plans for robustness and assessing interim capacity support plans to protect supply. ¿Managing containment of capacity shortfalls and escalating execution delays to STA Site Management & Cross-Functional Team. ¿Working with MP&L Constraints team to establish supply containment and monitor supply risks. ¿Managing Weekly Status Reporting for At Risk Suppliers and Supplier Capacity Implementation Status Tracking.
3 years experience with program management, quality improvement, quality processes, or lean in a manufacturing environment.
Technical degree in an engineering discipline. Bachelors of Science Degree in Engineering ¿ (ME, EE, ChE, IE).
