Job Description

• The Full-Stack Cloud Automation Architect/Engineer will help transform the future of our client infrastructure solutions to meet the challenges of the next generation application

• This technical position will research, engineer and develop a new data center modernization strategy to meet our client rapidly increasing data and compute requirements

• This position requires a wide breadth of skills and experience in order to develop a new strategy

• The focus will be on Automation and Orchestration, with specific emphasis on vRealize Automation suite

Skills & Experience Required

• Expert level understanding of VMware ESXi and related tooling

• 2+ years of experience with vRealize Automation suite

• 3+ years of experience with multiple programming languages: For example Java, Ruby, Python, JavaScript, Perl, C. (Preference on Ruby and Javascript)

• 3+ years Infrastructure experience in one or more areas: Operating Systems, Database, Storage, Network, or Active Directory

Experience Preferred

• Hashicorp Terraform

• Infrastructure API development

• Working knowledge of application development architectures, web deployment methodologies, and mobile technologies

• Proficient in TCP/IP and WAN technologies

• Experience with both Linux and Windows server administration

• Ability to work with a variety of cross-functional teams to support global deployments Endless Desire to Learn and motivated to challenge the status quo

• Innovative thinker with strong analytical and problem resolution skills

• A self-starter, capable of working independently and within a team with minimum supervision

• VM provisioning architecture design experience

• In-depth knowledge of software-defined infrastructure technologies

• Expert level understanding of VMware ESXi and related tooling

• Hybrid public/private compute/storage clouds

• 1+ years of experience with vRealize Automation suite

• 3+ years of experience with multiple programming languages: For example Java, Ruby, Python, JavaScript, Perl, C. (Preference on Ruby and Javascript)

• 3+ years Infrastructure experience in one or more areas: Operating Systems, Database, Storage, Network, or Active Directory

• Experience with software development tools and continuous delivery and integration technologies, such as Chef Habitat, Jenkins, Github, or Nexus

• Scripting abilities - for building tools to perform system automation activities, such as Chef, Ansible, Perl, Python, or Unix Shell

• Experience with Agile (i.e. Scrum or Kanban)

• Strong security awareness throughout the software lifecycle

• Strong oral and written communication skills

• Technical writing skills (run books, DR plans, platform architecture, etc.)

Education Required

• 5 + yrs of industry experience AND BS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or another Engineering discipline
