RESPONSIBILITIES
20% Data Analysis and Testing Support Support Aerodynamic wind tunnel evaluations
Basic data analysis during real time testing to monitor evaluation KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators)
Check data post evaluation for accuracy / integrity based on evaluation KPI’s
Write standardized technical reports to summarize evaluation results for competitor benchmarking
Write comprehensive weekly reports 80% Evaluation Preparation
Creations of exterior geometry based on 3D data Disassembly of key components to install instrumentation Perform safety checks on vehicles to ensure safe operation
Participate in long term planning, group action plans, and safety initiatives
Work in different evaluations areas to support current and future workload
QUALIFICATIONS
THIS POSITION REQUIRES 25% DRIVING
Associates degree (or higher) or equivalent in automotive related field 2 years’ experience with fabrication using clay, model board, fiberglass and/or metal
MS Office Suite EXPERIENCE REQUIRED (Excel for data acquisition, Word for tech reports, and PowerPoint for creating presentations)
Excel skills to include -VLOOKUP, INDEX and MATCH functions
Basic automotive mechanical skills working with suspension and underbody covers
Interpret 3D and 2D data and prints
Clean driving record
25% travel required to and from N. Carolina and Ohio a few times each month (once restrictions are lifted international-Canada travel will also be required)
Must be able to work a flexible schedule with a lot of OT (12-14hr days at times) and weekends involved
Candidates with body shop experience usually do well in this role
Entry level candidates welcomed
Added bonus if you have: Machine shop experience (cutting, grinding, welding)
Automotive testing experience
CATIA experience
