G-TECH Services, Inc. Design Release Engineer - Intermediate in Auburn Hills, Michigan

The Product Engineer is responsible for system design, development, and engineering release of structural frame components and assemblies. The Engineer will be responsible for the executing a work plan to achieve the component and system level functional objectives. He/she will be responsible for the on-time delivery of components/systems from initial concept through vehicle launch. Project management key process indicators (KPI's) and C/W/I efficiency will be utilized to monitor progress. Responsibilities include but not limited to, the component design (FMEA), review of analysis (CAE), vehicle packaging (NX), model/drawing integrity (Teamcenter), Product Assurance Plan (PAP), component validation (DVP&R), change management (CN), engineering bill of material (EBOM/CODEP), build support, issue management (GIMS) and fastened joint design. The Engineer will be required work with multiple teams and suppliers to complete all feasibility, validation and testing work.

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical/Electrical/Aeronautical or Aerospace Engineering degree from an ABET accredited university.

• Min 3 years experience related to the design of chassis structural parts or product development.

• Focus on product engineering experience/sheet metal stamping.

• Working knowledge of CAD systems.

• Self-starter with demonstrated problem solving ability.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

• Demonstrated ability to summarize and present work to management and cross-functional teams.

• Strong written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to perform basic design activities in Catia/NX/Teamcenter related to vehicle packaging and design of components.
