Responsibilities

Responsible for the coordination and completion of projects. Oversees all aspects of projects. Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes progress of project. Prepares reports for upper management regarding status of project. Leads and directs the work of others. Responsibilities include program planning, development and maintenance of master timing schedules, project risk assessments, change management, and project integration across the various functional departments. This position is responsible for program management of all Powertrain Engineering assembly plant end-items (focus on the interfaces with Vehicle Engineering).

3-5 years experience.

The position is responsible to support the model integration manager (MIM) with various tasks including assembly plant build support, issue management and reporting, powertrain engineering issue management and driving issues to closure. This position requires the program manager to become the face of powertrain to the vehicle team, and report as such to the vehicle team leadership including the model responsible (MR) and vehicle line quality (VLQ) responsible for the vehicle.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in engineering (ME or EE)

  • 0-5 years of project/program management experience within automotive, power-train (or demonstrated project management)

  • Demonstrate ability to manage all aspects of the development and implementation of assigned projects.

  • Takes projects from original concept through final implementation.

  • Demonstrate strength in assembling project team, assigning individual responsibilities, identifying appropriate resources needed, and developing schedules to ensure timely completing of project and meeting deadlines of project.

  • Demonstrate ability to build credibility, establish rapport, and maintain communication with customers at multiple levels, including those external to the organization.

Travel

  • Will be required to drive a company car.

  • A valid driver's license is required, as well as, a clean driving record.

  • Will be required to travel domestically and internationally up to 20% (Mexico, Canada)
