Experience using CAD systems (NX or Catia V5) with the ability to position and manipulate models, as well as cut sections, dimension, & conceptualize designs 6 months of automotive experience in one or more of the following areas: Interior Systems, AVE, Body-in-white. Broad vehicle knowledge VPM, CoDept,TeamCenter knowledge.
Ability to integrate stakeholder requirements into final vehicle design.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to present ideas and concepts successfully to all levels of management.
Excellent relationship building skills with ability to work in a cross-functional team environment.
Ability to productively manage change.
Excellent MS Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)Requirements:
A minimum of a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering is required (or Eng'g in Materials /Chemical/ Civil/ Aerospace/Computer), from ABET accredited University (or ABET equivalency is also acceptable).
An Electrical Engineer is best suited for this role.
3-5 years of design/release experience in automotive components
Experience in Interior lighting and lighting simulation
Working knowledge of Design Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (DFMEA), PFMEA, Design Verification Plan & Report (DVP&R), CAE, GD&T, and i-Speed
Design and development experience in Team Center and NX
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Master of Science in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, and or MBA from an ABET accredited university
Knowledge of CAN/LIN bus and experience with circuit analysis
Knowledge in the measurement and design issues of lighting
Working knowledge of SPEOS Lighting simulation software by OPTIS
Experience developing Performance Standards
Experience with Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) using proactive quality tools
