G-TECH Services, Inc. Project Manager Senior in Auburn Hills, Michigan

  • Oversee complex programs and teams of technical resources.

  • Must organize, manage, control, and direct all activities for the program.

  • Lead status meetings with project team.

  • Make presentation on the program status to management and directors.

  • Implement and streamline consistent processes across project teams.

  • Develop and maintain project documentation such as project schedule, project log, meeting minutes, and project categorization.

  • Facilitate meetings with business partners to resolve complex problems and review project updates.

  • Support and provide guidance to project teams and less experienced program managers.

  • Demonstrates expertise in a variety of the fields concepts, practices, and procedures.

  • Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

  • Perform a variety of complex tasks.

  • A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.

  • May guide various groups on application systems activities.

  • Work under general directions; typically reports to a team lead or supervisor/manager.

Qualifications:

  • Solid understanding of software development life cycle models as well as expert knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices and the ability to blend them together in the right proportions to fit a project and business environment.

  • Bachelor’s degree in related area.

  • Experience as a Scrum Master in an environment new to Scrum.

  • Strong Jira skills.

  • Proven experience setting up and using Atlassian Jira Agile www.atlassian.com/software/jira/agile .

  • Proven experience as Project Manager in a cross-functional team, dedicated to the complete product development lifecycle of successfully launched mobile apps or websites used globally.

  • Experience providing oversight of a large product, program, or simultaneously coordinating multiple smaller initiatives and teams.

  • Experience formulating a staffing plan and accompanying budget and tracking team activities against the budget.

  • Ability to develop project plans and articulate them to both technical and non-technical addressees (facilitate team estimation activities, monitor team velocity, and provide insight as to when backlog item will be achieved).

  • The desire to be part of, and contribute to, a team.

  • Strong listening, written, and oral communication skills.

  • Strong relationship building skills including the ability to relate constructively to all levels of an organization.

  • Ambition and the ability to be self-directed.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience using Aha! ( http://www.aha.io ).

  • Experience developing a product roadmap.

  • Experience with various estimation techniques and mentoring teams.

  • Experience testing or verifying software meets acceptance criteria.

  • Experience writing a statement of work.
