The Senior Consultant in the field of Automotive Connected Vehicle and Services will have a blend of skills including strong business acumen, expert knowledge and understanding of Automotive IOT and connected vehicle technologies, industry strategies and requirements surrounding connected vehicles, and technology trends.
Assure a robust connected vehicle program by supporting all Pre/Post launch and deployment activities.
Resolve all launch issues including customer issues by analyzing supporting data as well as collaborating and communicating the with cross functional engineering, IT and business teams, as well as SiriusXM via on-site visits including over the phone.
Develop and implement sustainable processes by creating and managing Change Requests (CR) that aim at improving and enhancing end-to-end connected vehicle customer experience by resolving current and future issues efficiently and effectively.
Lead all support efforts and provide requirements for all activities relevant to Connected vehicle Operations as well as source packages for Connected Vehicle Service Delivery Platform that will host multiple short term to long term strategic initiatives.
Manage and maintain close working relationships with extended teams within the corporation as well as SiriusXM.
Bachelor of Science in business or technical field with at least 20 plus years of overall experience.
15 years of experience in Automotive Connected Vehicles, Telematics and/or IoT (Internet of Things)
Minimum 5-7 years of experience at a major automotive OEM working on the connected car strategic initiatives and solutions
Minimum 5-7 years development experience within the connected car ecosystem knowing the functional aspects of telematics/infotainment/backend components
2-4 years of international sales and delivery experience with global Automotive customers tier 1 suppliers, IOT providers, telecommunication providers, or partners
Understanding of AWS cloud architecture
Customer focused and experienced in customer interaction
Strong communication and coaching skills
Broad experience with relationship and change management
Can gain expert knowledge of product functionality at a level sufficient to train others in basic use, advanced functionality, and best practices
Can gain broad knowledge about connected services products and services
Operational Experience and strong Operational Improvement Drive
Demonstrated results in designing and deploying continuous improvement initiatives, and can coach others in effective deployment of continuous improvement methodologies.
Can execute structured root cause analysis, critical thinking, and problem solving methodologies. Can support the creation of tools and procedures to standardize these activities, and can coach others in the deployment of these processes.
Ability to interpret data and trends, use of Business Intelligence type tooling, including working knowledge of statistics (understanding of terminology and significance), data visualization techniques (what visualization approach to use)
Project management skills: able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent interpersonal skills and experience in stakeholder management, with sensitivity to complex organizational structures, varying cultures, and potentially conflicting goals. Comfort working with both internal and external teams.
Will be required to drive a company car.
Valid driver's license is required as well as a clean driving record.
Will be required to travel domestically and internationally 20%.
