G-TECH Services, Inc. VI Vehicle Facilitator in Centerline, Michigan
Responsible to provide support to Vehicle Integration (VI) team inside our client's Vehicle Engineering department.
VI team is responsible for testing and validating vehicle performance in all environments, situations, and circumstances.
The Vehicle Facilitator will manage the vehicle, logistic, and support-related needs for their assigned program.
Responsibilities Include: Take direction from dedicated VI program VIR for day-to-day assignments specific to a single program.
Take direction from VIV Facilitation Supervisor to provide support to all VI programs, Engineering groups, and our client's other Group locations as necessary
Assisting with the coordination of daily program activities such as vehicle prep, work orders, parts coordination and logistics.
Evaluating vehicles and providing feedback to the Engineering team.
Preparation and staging of Executive overnight vehicle evaluations.
Coordinating and supporting the planning and execution of environmental and other test trips, as well as validation ride, immersion rides, etc.
Coordinating movement and tracking of vehicles through test cells, garages and labs. Coordinating and supporting static jury assessments, node reviews and clinics.
Utilizing proprietary software to update vehicle systems and diagnose issues.
Working with Quality, Marketing, Product Planning and other groups to support rides, trips and events, including Corporate, media and press events.
Maintain licensing requirements, including chauffer's endorsement, passport, (or enhanced driver's license), cart/cycle license, CPR/AED certification, and CDL (as necessary)
Maintaining inventory of departmental and program resources, including procurement and loss and attrition control.
Preparing vehicle shippers, Special Moves Requests, as well as customs documentation to expedite vehicle transfer.
Delivering vehicles and equipment to and from assembly plants, proving grounds, dealerships, storage facilities and suppliers.
Preparing garage and facilities work orders, including CPG and APG. Ordering, retrieving and warehousing parts and equipment.
Assisting with maintenance of the competitive vehicle fleet through the Fleet Management Supervisor and vehicle coordinators.
Develop Excel spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations.
Coordinating and aiding in the development of camouflage installations for secured properties. Marshalling pilot vehicles through the build process and coordinating transport from the plant. Initiating business contacts and maintaining relationships to better affect the impact of the facilitator resource across various departments and groups.
Continually assessing current processes and procedures, and evaluating potential means to improve efficiency within the scope of the Facilitator group
Some college experience with hands on automotive experience - prototype/fabrication exp preferred!
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite / Google G-Suite - must be tech savvy!
Ability to lead, follow and collaborate with others in a comfortable and friendly fashion
Ability to make valid decisions and initiate action in a variety of circumstances and on short notice
Confidence and willingness to coordinate activities with others while listening to their input
Requires occasional work outdoors for extended periods of time & may include weekend work
Periodic travel may be necessary to multiple environments for testing purposes
Overtime is voluntary, but may be requested at any given time in order to complete an assignment
Physical requirements: Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds on occasion
Must be able to walk up to 5 miles per day
May be required to pass an MDOT physical (CDL-required programs only)
Familiarity with vehicle systems and their operation
Ability to drive a manual transmission
Will be required to drive company vehicles.
Valid Drivers License and clean driving record required
