Job Description

  • Join a team of simulation engineers to deliver active safety simulation capabilities

  • Depending on the specific role of the individual in the overall simulation effort, the responsibilities below would be a lead role or support role

  • Develop models of ADAS sensors such as cameras, radars, and ultrasonics

  • Work with the algorithm engineers to develop models of sensor fusion and other ADAS control algorithms

  • Lead/support the integration of the plant and controller models for ADAS into an overall vehicle model

  • Lead/support the development of a simulation environment to enable the simulation of ADAS features

  • Lead/support the validation of the individual plant models and the overall vehicle model Lead/support the development of simulation test cases for the verification of ADAS features

  • Execute the simulation test cases to verify the operation of the ADAS features

  • Understand sensor system interactions in terms of vehicle dynamics to identify possible improvements and trade-offs

  • Work with the client Hardware in the Loop Team and vehicle test teams to establish simulation procedures to reduce dependence on vehicle level testing

Skills Required

  • Experience in active safety systems such as ACC, AEB, LKA, TJA, Collision Avoidance Control algorithm and plant model development experience using Matlab, Simulink or equivalent

  • Experience with vehicle/environment modeling using tools such as CarSim, CarMaker, and Unreal Engine

Experience Required

  • 1+ years of experience with modeling and simulation technologies

Education Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related

Education Preferred

  • Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related
