Driver Assistance Technologies (DAT) Simulation and Validation Engineer to work with our engineering team to develop DAT features that will satisfy and delight our customers. Responsibilities include: Lead in the development of DAT feature closed loop simulation. Create photorealistic simulation environments using Unreal Engine for high-fidelity camera, radar and ultrasonic sensor modeling. Lead integration of vehicle, sensor and feature control models in MATLAB/Simulink to support the delivery Driver Assistance Technologies. Develop DAT simulation methods, processes, tools and documentation to integrate multiple DAT features to support feature design, verification and validation. Support on-going CAE correlations efforts. Support development of plan to transition physical vehicle testing to simulation-based tests.
Strong analytical, leadership, planning and communication skills. Experience with scientific computing (C / C++ coding)
Ability to work collaboratively with our global partners
2+ years of work experience with programming and data analysis using MATLAB/Simulink and C++. 1+ years of work experience with programming and data analysis using CarMaker, CarSIM or similar. 1+ years of work experience with modeling in Unreal Engine.
2+ years of work experience in CAE related position. Experience in design, development, or testing with Driver Assistance or Active Safety technologies. Experience in vehicle level or system level Automotive design, development, or testing. Vehicle level development/tuning experience. Control system algorithm development experience. Vehicle CAN network experience (CANayzer/CANape). Vehicle testing or a test track and in a laboratory environment. Experience with target identification and classification, path prediction, and target threat assessment algorithms. Experience with HMI (Human-Machine Interface) development. Experience with systems engineering, use case development, boundary diagrams, p-diagrams, safety case hazard analysis and robustness tools. Experience with remote sensing systems such as radar, camera, LIDAR or ultrasonic.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
Master’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
