G-TECH Services, Inc. Connected Vehicle Quality Assurance Engineer in Dearborn, Michigan

Job Description:

  • Establish, Monitor and address issue through root-cause utilizing Quality assurance metrics (TGWs, R/1000, CPU and Warranty Spend)

  • Represent V85 VFG at various quality forums, including (but not limited to) BPR, PDQR, AQM, FQR, VQR, etc

  • Be able and passionate about leading the problem-solving process through root-cause resolution

  • Investigate, Pareto and share highest DTC contributors with other VFGs

  • Support Mfg'g with Quality Related issues (e.g.: FCPA Calls) in a timely manner

  • Drive investigations and take actions to reduce main V85 metrics towards Best in Class performance

  • Be able and passionate about leading the problem-solving process through root-cause resolution

  • Advocate as the Voice of the Customer by collecting and acting upon end-customer data


  • 3+ years of learning/education about and working with:

  • Connected Vehicle cloud-based systems

  • Smartphone Apps

  • Wireless devices and networks

  • Telematics

  • Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity

  • Ability to understand customer Issues from around the globe and help Feature Teams in translating into Design and Manufacturing Standards.

  • Understand and apply failure mode avoidance methods including linkage such as Quality History, Interface Analysis, DFMEA, and Design Verification Plan.

  • Knowledge of Robust Engineering Fundamentals including P-Diagrams, Noise Factor Management Strategy and Robustness and Reliability Demonstration.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Ability to respond and prioritize several demands from different teams and point of views

  • Ability to drive Quality/Performance mindset into different levels inside the Company Maintain resilience as new tools/processes are established upon teams already working with other demands

Education Required

  • Bachelor’s in Engineering (Electrical Engineering is preferable)

  • Knowledge in Six-Sigma and/or Quality/Reliability tools - DoE, Taguchi Methods, FMA, etc.

  • Solid understanding of vehicle electrical architectures and components

Education Preferred

  • Green belt and/or Black belt
