Position Description:

Job Title: High Voltage Battery Systems Technologist Position Duties This position is for a High Voltage Battery Systems Technologist. The successful candidate will have responsibility to: • Perform post-crash teardowns on HV battery packs after vehicle crash testing. • Instrument HV batteries for temperature, current, voltage in support of various vehicle & bench testing. • Fabricate test fixtures as needed to support Battery Assembly or battery component testing. • Perform posttest teardowns in support of pack DV and PV. • Support warranty return teardown analysis. • Perform in-vehicle diagnostics and repair for test vehicles with HV battery issues (both current model and future model). • Some travel required to support vehicle or bench testing at facilities outside of SE MI • Tear down competitive high voltage battery packs in support of benchmarking studies. Position

Qualifications • High School diploma required; Associate degree preferred. • Hands-on experience with High Voltage power sources desired • Technologist experienced desired • Instrumentation experience for temperature, current, voltage. • Experience building wiring jumper harness to supporting instrumentation or provide representative vehicle function. • Experience diagnosing vehicles with high voltage battery functional issues and determining root cause.
