Job Description

  • Manning the Building Services Help Desk / Phone on a Daily Basis and handling process requests

  • Badging: New, Temporary and Replacement

  • RIC Building Access

  • Specific Area Accesses

  • Process and dispense office and cabinet/desk keys

  • Asset Disposal

  • Order, dispense and have lab coats cleaned

  • Plan department events and luncheons

  • Liaison for new employees and Trades personnel

  • Maintain and reconcile Visa (FAB) orders

  • Order and dispense safety vests and safety glasses

  • Maintain/organize mailroom and mail slots

  • Create shippers

  • Create name badges for events/visitors

  • Microphone jockey for Q&A at meetings

  • Lab tour guide for special guests/groups

  • Maintain servicing & invoicing for VP office cable

  • Stock/Order batteries for employee use

  • Submit requests for maintenance or repair of items in building 2) Audit handling Quarterly badge audits: R&A Employee, RIC General 24/7 and Special Access Rooms/Labs (15)

  • Key Audit (owners of keys for the entire building)

  • Compliance Audits (MSRP/DRIM)

  • Oversee and Maintain

  • Stock/Order electrical and self-serve crib

  • Building bulletin boards

  • Stock/Order paper

  • Stock/order moving boxes

  • Place chemical orders

  • Stock/Order salt pellets for water softener

  • Stock/Order dry ice for labs

  • Oversee building plants and atrium trees

  • Oversee pest control issues

  • Report elevator problems & work with a service technician

  • Order office supplies

  • Stock/Order hydrogen, carbon dioxide and nitrogen for tanks on the exterior of buildings

Skills Required

  • Procurement for Business Office and Building Services

  • Create, maintain & invoice PO's for multiple departments in Dearborn, MI and Palo Alto, CA

  • Create, maintain & invoice all PO's for RIC Building Services and RIC Library

  • Process check requests

  • Process Supplier Code requests Primary Skills Required Very good interpersonal skills

  • Very good written and oral communication skills (ability to work with people at all levels)

  • Very good business skills

  • Familiar with up-to-date Microsoft Office Tool Suite

  • Ability to use all forms of written and verbal communication tools (email, phone, texting, instant messaging tools, face to face)

  • Must be available 5 days/week, 8:00 to 5:00 in RIC office

Experience Required

  • Some general business experience preferred, 2 years

  • Familiarity with our client systems or equivalent (CPARS/Ariba/, Netbadge, Concur)

Education Required

  • The minimum is Associate or similar degree level for math/business skills

Education Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in business
