G-TECH Services, Inc. Powertrain/Diesel/Chassis Warranty Technician in Dearborn, Michigan

Responsibilities

  • Powertrain/Diesel/Chassis Warranty Technician will be responsible to:

  • Send and receive emails; schedule meetings in MS Outlook;

  • create Excel reports

  • Ensure all on site testing and verification replicates Dealer Workshop Manuals

  • Apply existing test procedures to confirm failure modes / functions of parts

  • Evaluate parts and interpret test results

  • Decide on acceptance or rejection of claims (vs. dealer)

  • Prepare the Acceptance Factor Sheets for Warranty Commodity Engineers and enter data into database

  • Ensure suppliers send in or update the database with their findings on time and process shippers for part sent to suppliers for analysis.

  • Strong hands on Technical Analysis Skills.

  • Ability to test and analyze parts and interpret test results.

  • Strong MS Office skills:

  • (Excel PowerPoint Word Outlook)

  • Oral/written communication proficiency

  • Strong organizational and coordination skills

  • Ability to multi-task ability to work well with teams ability to operate in diverse environment

  • Management skills.

  • Minimum 3-5 years experience:

  • In Automotive environment.

  • Working with Product Development Engineering and Purchasing/STA.

  • Working with Dealers and Suppliers.

  • Working with Powertrain Parts.

  • Dealership Mechanic.

  • Dealership Service manuals. DMAIC / 8D methodology.

  • Supervisory experience a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Data analysis

  • Minimum Green Belt Certified.

Education

  • Required ASE and/or State Certifications must be current not expired.

  • BS degree a plus.
