Job Title: HMI Program Planning & Management This position provides an exciting opportunity to define the HMI content per program and manage its delivery to the program. Potential area(s) of responsibility include: - Work with program team to determine vehicle level HMI component requirements. This will include: o determining feature requirements for digital and supporting physical controls including inputs from Modular catalogs and reductive design o identifying the new interaction frameworks and metaphors to be used based on Core HMI work and Enterprise Unit delivery o determining the level of change to the digital themes - Guide program teams on all new and existing vehicles so program content is aligned and that components, graphic themes and features are compatible and can work together. o Work with EPLM’s, D&R’s / suppliers and marketing to identify customer focused and cost optimized program specific proposals - Develop and define early component interaction requirements that includes documenting wireframes and behavior specs for customer interaction. - Manage HMI QOS documentation o Lead HMI report out at program milestones o Maintain a program HMI health chart o Maintain supporting program delivery timing charts - Track HMI through Job 1. This includes tracking software availability of digital display components for vehicle evaluation at PEC and FEC. o Support the Golden Vehicle Process from a CIED perspective - Manage the closed loop verification process throughout the delivery process including o Managing preliminary validation through HIL/SIL and benchtop testing o Managing High level validation of HMI features in digital display components prior to PEC and FEC. o Manage AIMs and customer feedback loops through drive events - Support Hardware and Software Prototyping of HMI Concepts and support associated customer clinics - Support evaluations of HMI impacted OTA updates.
- Prior knowledge of GPDS program deliverables and Design Studio FC Checkpoint process preferred. - Knowledge of electrical and HMI Subsystems (cluster, center stack/Sync, rear displays, physical controls) and driver assistance features preferred. - Capable of working in a cross-functional /global HMI role. - Strong written and oral skills. Ability to communicate and present to high levels of management.
