Position Description:

Vehicle Operations Manufacturing Engineering is a cross-functional team having the primary responsibility to plan for and implement the launch of new vehicle programs at assembly plants. The Manufacturing – IT Engineering candidate will be primarily responsible for the "In Plant Flash" application / process which performs production flashing of all ECU modules within a vehicles CAN control network. Responsibilities will include the following: • Develop and Manage Workplan / Scheduling / Rollout of new IPF functional enhancements • Manage / coordinate Movimento – Puma Tool functional enhancements / validation • Maintain and document communication requirements to/from upstream and downstream data sources (CMMS3, Error Proofing, TSC service, CDC, IVS, QLS, OMS, eCATS, Powertrain firmware database, VSO server) o Ensure schema changes in IVS does not adversely affects IPF o Update password requirements for all communications o Work with Netcom to update module security dll • Ensure IPF server communication remains compatible with all data sources o Example: CDCII migration to https • Maintain / update current and new IPF applications • Document Flash Server applications • Ensure back up processes are operating as intended and work with Movimento to verify on a schedule. • Maintain the IPF database archiving process. • Monitor the resource usage of the Flash Servers. • Work with Movimento to validate and propagate server and Puma applications • Support implementation teams and Movimento as required o IPF SME Support o IPF Server setup for DCV Testing • Review system warning alerts. • Develop Training documents • Implement CyberSecurity initiatives • Maintain TSE Website

Skills Required:

Working knowledge of C++ Working knowledge of JavaScript, SQL, CSS, and HTML Willing to learn secure transactions such as https and ADFS.

Skills Preferred:

• Automotive manufacturing experience / supplier project management skills • Product development experience with Electrical systems, EDS, or module design • Product development experience with Powertrain and Chassis systems • Extensive knowledge of IT infrastructure, network communications, web development and server applications) • Working knowledge of diagnostics and vehicle repair • Extensive knowledge of computer HW, SW and wireless technologies • Strong computer Skills (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) • Strong verbal & written communication and presentation skills • Understanding of PFMEA and Failure Mode Avoidance principles • Working knowledge of Statistics

Experience Required:

Background in test software development/implementation, or product validation

Experience Preferred:

Vehicle Engineering, Plant Operations (Assembly or Powertrain), Software Development working knowledge

Education Required:

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science – preferred

Education Preferred:

Masters degree in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering or Computer Science

Additional Safety Training/Licensing/Personal Protection Requirements:

Additional Information :

Other Engineering disciplines with a 4 year degree will be considered if candidate has strong programming background / demonstrated skills
