Role Mandate: • Provide technical leadership in the delivery of client's over the Air Software Update Solution including all aspects of the delivery cycle (behavior and performance in the field, executing the Plan of Record, and supporting the planned capabilities on the roadmap). • Accountability in feature delivery and execution, in partnership with product owners (that own feature definition/justification re: customer experience and business value), ECU teams (that provide the feature implementations), and test teams (that validate the features). Key activities: • Provide technical direction by translating business needs to technical feature requirements and creating technical specifications to guide downstream development/testing. • Define and own system designs and architectures by decomposing requirements into component responsibilities and defining integration points between components. • Perform and/or coordinate test activities for early bring-up, prototype proofing, and pre-release validation. • Review and sign-off on test plans for completeness, correctness and applicability. • Triage issues and support downstream teams: conformance testers, system testers, service testers, field deployments, etc. • Ensure FMEA, Functional Safety, and Cybersecurity requirements have been met as appropriate.
• Strong written/verbal communication skills to foster and drive a collaborative development model encompassing development and test engineers, project managers, and other key stakeholders. • Experience with Jira or equivalent issue management system
• Knowledge of and exposure to a breadth of areas across the connectivity ecosystem (Back end infrastructure, CDN, edge node) is an asset • Familiarity with automotive industry standards
3+ years of experience delivering products to customers, experience with software development and/or systems engineering.
