Position Description:

PCCN Controls Software/Subsystem Engineer This Powertrain Controls Software/Subsystem Engineering position involves the design and development of new common powertrain function (CPF) engine control software features and associated diagnostic systems per client's Software Standards. • Capture requirements for new CPF engine functions (Thermal, Oil, Starting, Electrical and Accessory functions); attribute delivery, serviceability, and regulatory compliance • Design or design direction of control system/strategy/software to meet requirements • Perform robustness analysis of systems and incorporate findings into control system design • May use client's development environment to create engine control software or work with controls software team to implement requirements • Validate feature software; Create and execute the validation plan using simulation, hardware-in-the-loop and vehicle resources • Document all changes using client process and tools • Create/update control Feature Requirements Documents • Develop initial calibration guidelines/recommendations for the feature software • Collaborate within the subsystem feature team with representatives from hardware and calibration activities to manage the design and development of engine control software • Support transition of feature software or requirements to base controls team

Skills Required:

Basic Qualifications • 1+ years of experience of Software Engineering and C Coding Skills • 1+ years of experience of Modeling, Simulation, and Testing Techniques Preferred Qualifications • Thermal and Oil Systems Knowledge Desirable • Electrical, Climate and NVH Systems Knowledge Desirable • Proactive Attitude, Leadership And Interpersonal Skills, Work Planning And Data Analysis Skills • Working Knowledge of Product Development System Engineering Principles • Working Knowledge of Basic Combustion Engine Operating Principles

Skills Preferred:

Demonstrated ability to organize and track tasks and drive them to completion Experience working globally across cultural and organizational boundaries

Experience Required:

• 2+ Years Developing Powertrain Control Systems • 1+ years of experience with Basic Principles of Controls Engineering

Education Required:

BSME or BSEE

Additional Information :

Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and keep management and key stakeholders updated
