Position Description:

Implement a Systems Engineering approach to new feature design to meet customer needs. Lead the development of a feature at the systems engineering level from early feature development to production and lead feature upgrade and migration plan. Develop high level ECU, network, and function distribution topologies / block diagrams to define how a feature interacts and is connected to the hardware and software functions. Allocate features and functions across electronic modules and subsystems to meet cost, quality and feature customer and performance targets Develop feature specifications, feature Failure Mode Avoidance documentation, feature verification plan, etc. Review existing system designs to find new opportunities for cost or quality improvement. Interact with program teams, core engineers and functional areas to create balanced solutions to challenging requirements Develop relationships with multi-functional teams and supply base to learn about the latest technologies and possible implementation. Analyze complex multi-functional systems and implement innovative solutions. Lead trade-off discussions with multi-functional teams. Communicate complex systems, issues and resolutions in a clear and concise manner to peers and management. Apply connected data & data analytics to develop a deep understanding of the customer.

Skills Required:

Engineering requirements development, DFMEA, vehicle architecture (electrical) design

Skills Preferred:

Vector CANalyzer. DET. VehicleSpy. Vehicle development. Vehicle testing an instrumentation basics.

Experience Required:

5+ years of experience with vehicle software systems, architecture and/or features. End to End vehicle feature design and development.

Experience Preferred:

Automotive Climate Control Software development.

Education Required:

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering.
