The primary responsibility of this position is to provide system engineering and controls skills to the development, analysis, and testing of fuel cell systems within the Fuel Cell Research Department.
The position includes utilizing LabVIEW, Simulink, or equivalent software to develop system testing strategies and analysis for characterization and verification of the fuel cell requirements.
The position responsibilities would also include using CANalyzer and INCA calibration software to develop and control communication between the fuel cell system and the test stand.
The system engineer would have responsibilities as part of a collaborative research team to advance fuel cell system technology through the various product development stages such as design, testing, analysis, and documentation with an emphasis in modeling and controls.

2+ years in testing of automotive powertrain related electrical systems and components. Experience with testing and data acquisition.
Programming skills in LabVIEW, Simulink, or equivalent software for testing and analysis.
Test stand operation and data acquisition skills with CANalyzer, INCA, or equivalent software
National Instruments VeriStand programming..
A familiarity with Fuel Cells and/or Electric Vehicle technology is a plus, but not required.
Demonstrated experience working in a team-based project across multiple disciplines, e.g., system design and implementation, data acquisition and analysis, application implementation, etc.
Experience with the application of Systems Engineering principles (e.g. DFSS, DFMEA, etc.).
- BS degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or chemical engineering, or equivalent.
- MS degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or chemical engineering, or equivalent.
