Engagement Description

• Web application needs updating for Consumer Driven Health project as well as other web applications need to be updated to work with Microsoft Edge.

• Other application updates may be required during engagement.

• Identified resources will be response for creating design documents and creating Java modules.

Top 3 Required Skills/Experience

Strong working knowledge of Struts & Hibernate framework, JSP, XML, XSLT, Java, J2EE, CSS, HTML, DHTML, JavaScript, Oracle
Experienced with WebSphere application server
Ability to work independently within guidelines

Required Skills/Experience

Experience with API, Webservices/SOA/RESTful, EJB
Experience with java industrial standard design patterns
At least 2 years of experience with Spring, Hibernate Frameworks
Practical experience with common development tools (e.g. Rational Application Developer/Eclipse)
Comprehensive understanding of application security vulnerabilities and common resolution approaches including the OWASP top 10 as well as familiarity with Security Scanning software, preferably HP Fortify Scan.
Excellent analytical and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple project and timelines required.
Experience with MQ Interfaces.
Testing procedures including creation of unit test cases/scripts, test data and validation of results required.
Ability to ensure Agile or SDLC methodology is followed, including conducting code reviews required.
Ability to create detailed technical design, code, test, debugs, document, and maintain applications required.
Participating in the Agile SDLC (standups, estimation, iterative development CI, demos, retrospectives).

Preferred Skills/Experience –

5+ years of application programming and analysis experience required.
Knowledge of microservices, Spring, Hibernate frameworks
Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret complex problems or processes that span multiple business areas, identify and understand requirements, and develop alternate solutions
Experience designing, developing and testing applications using proven or emerging technologies

Education/Certifications –

• Bachelor’s degree in Management of Information Systems, Computer Science or Engineering

• J2EE Java Developer certification
