Job Description:

  • Develops and conducts training programs for industrial, commercial, service or government clients by performing the following duties.

  • Confers with management/client to understand work situation.

  • Performs needs, job, and task analysis to determine the training required for trainees to better understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations, and technologies.

  • Work with Lotus Notes databases dealing with our client's program management tools such as; tech specs/requirements databases, change request/decision notices, and Product Program Content.

  • Incorporates methods and requirements of instructional systems such as Instructional Systems Development (ISD), Systematic Approach to Training (SAT) or Training Systems Development (TSD) process.

  • Develops teaching outline and determines instructional methods such as individual training, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, conferences, meetings, and workshops.

  • Selects or develops teaching aids such as training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials, and reference works.

  • Conducts training sessions covering specified areas of technical specialty.

  • Designs and develops exams to measure progress and to evaluate the effectiveness of training.

  • Reports on trainee progress.

  • Maintains training programs and materials.

  • Coordinate and participate with the groups that have functional responsibility for the program tools, including maintaining "shadow" training databases.

  • Develop, maintain, and deploy VDP and GVDP training materials within the Engineering and Planning curriculum.

  • Provide training support for a special program and VLE team-training requests with instructor-led classes on VDP and GVDP.

  • Provide VDP training development support to the GVDP Development group on methods to best communicate and train the VDP within GM.

  • Detailed knowledge of our client's Vehicle Development Process and its use within programs.

  • Detailed knowledge of our client's organizational structure and how it is used in support of VDP implementation.

  • Skills for group facilitation and the ability to manage large group discussions.

Requirements:

  • Detailed knowledge of the Vehicle Development Process and its use within programs.

  • Skills for group facilitation and the ability to manage large group discussions.

  • Minimum of two years of classroom instruction experience

  • Proficiency in MS office suite especially Powerpoint

  • Proficiency with Lotus Notes, preferably some experience with enterprise-wide databases

  • Project Management experience a plus

Education:

  • Bachelors degree in a related discipline
