G-TECH Services, Inc. Advanced Purchasing Coordinator in Livonia, Michigan

The Purchasing Coordinator will place purchase orders, requests for quotes (RFQs), perform data analysis and other activities associated with overseeing the sourcing of new products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Process purchase orders and ensure that supplier is meeting delivery dates.

  • Lead, manage and execute data collection, validation, analysis, and negotiation activities for the assigned commodities.

Minimum Qualifications to be considered:

  • College Degree in business or related not necessary but is preferred.

  • Extremely proficient in Microsoft Excel.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Attention to detail.

  • Experience with data analytics.

  • Able to work independently with a proactive, ownership mindset.

  • Professional and possesses integrity.

  • Ability to collect and analyze data.

Education and Experience (preferred):

  • Relevant internship or co-op experience.

  • Experience in the automotive industry.

  • Experience with cost analysis.

  • Experience in negotiating and assessing suppliers.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities (preferred):

  • Understanding of automotive industry quality standards.

  • Coordination, facilitation, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.

  • Technical capability and manufacturing knowledge.

  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft.

  • Familiarity purchasing raw materials (steel, stainless steel, aluminum, etc.)
