G-TECH Services, Inc. Simulation Engineer General in Livonia, Michigan

Position Description:

Position Duties: • Develop and Optimize production processes in support of new production plans • Determining actions toward continuous improvement, standardization, and lean concepts • Assisting launch team in addressing equipment down time and start-up issues • Developing preventative / predictive maintenance practices to ensure 100% equipment uptime o Spare Parts o MOS Board o Maximo • Training and education of plant personnel and leadership regarding new equipment operations • Providing input on new equipment design, purchase, and retool • Build a UAW team & Lead equipment installation and debug • Develop the industrial material requirements to mitigate equipment downtime risk Minimum Requirements: • Education: High School Diploma • Experience: o Ability to optimize equipment programs and troubleshoot issues to identify root cause o Excellent communicator who can train both hourly and salary team members o Must be a self-starter who will take ownership of projects and see them through to completion with limited supervision o Successful candidate must be able to demonstrate leadership in behaviors combined with outstanding interpersonal, teambuilding, and communication skills • Maintenance experience • Computer efficiency • Ability to work various shifts Preferred Requirements • Education: Bachelor Degree in Engineering, preferred. Equivalent experience accepted • Experience: 3-5 years experience in manufacturing; o Robot / material handling (Felsomat/Gleason) / Machining (Nagel, C&B, & Emag) o Vision experience o PLC competency. o Lean implementation o AutoCAD o High volume Mfg/Assembly
