G-TECH Services, Inc. Electrical Maintenance Supervisor 3rd shift 6+ Mon in Novi, Michigan

The Maintenance Supervisor 3 rd Shift is responsible for the safe, reliable, cost effective execution of Planned & Breakdown Maintenance of production equipment & facilities. The maintenance strategy will be a Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) program employing preventative maintenance and predictive maintenance techniques with regards to safety, cost, production & environment. An ability to constantly evaluate and present solutions to enhance equipment reliability is a must for this position

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage 3 rd shift maintenance staff and ensure smooth operation of maintenance and repair functions. Interface with management and personnel from other departments to identify repair and maintenance opportunities.

· Work with production to correct quality problems as well as continuous improvement projects.

· Routine responsibilities and duties involve the use of various procedures and the application of clearly prescribed standards of practice, requiring good judgment.

· Daily

o Provide a safe working environment for all employees with full respect and consideration to Safety Program, including near miss and incident investigations

o Execute the daily maintenance plan; including NDT & PdM work

o Manage any breakdown or emergency work, including diagnoses & RCA

o Coordinate with and provide feedback to the Maintenance Planner & Operations Manager concerning all Planned & Unplanned Maintenance activities

o Conduct shift hand over meetings with the maintenance staff

o Open / Update / Close Work Orders in SAP (CMMS)

o Monitor Maintenance Staff Attendance

o Operate power tools, powered industrial vehicles, test equipment & fabrication equipment

· Weekly

o Coordinate with Maintenance Planner & Internal Customers to prepare the weekly maintenance schedule

o Participate in Indirect Material (MRO) inventory management

o Report Weekly Plan Compliance

· Monthly

o Participate in Month end cost and budget evaluation

o KPI Reporting

o Provide input for updating the three-month plan

· Quarterly

o Cost evaluation, KPI Reporting

o Update annual forecast

· Annually

o Provide input for updating cost forecasts (Budget), Capital Projects & Operational Costs

· As required

o Provide leadership and direction involving the upgrade or installation of equipment, including contracted services

o Evaluate Maintenance Staff and develop training plans & budgets

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

· High School graduation or equivalent

· 3-5 years’ Maintenance Supervisor experience in a manufacturing/assembly plant

· Must possess Mechanical/electrical aptitude, be self-motivated, have the ability to diagnose/troubleshoot and repair mechanical/electrical problems in a production assembly environment.

· Knowledge of CMMS (electronic work order system).

· Working ability in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

· Previous experience with predictive maintenance tools (Thermal Imaging, Ultra Sonic, etc.)

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

· Ability to diagnose and repair various equipment such as production assembly, testing equipment, conveyance systems, torque systems, press systems, hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic systems

· Experience fabricating equipment

· Ability to read and interpret test equipment

· Proven experience as Maintenance Supervisor or similar role

· Knowledge of health & safety practices and regulations

· Experience with OSHA and MIOSHA standards

· Excellent communication skills, verbal and written

· Strong leadership and time management skills

· Must work with a high degree of accuracy.

· Work with production to correct quality problems as well as continuous improvement projects.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

· 10% travel and ability to periodically work non-traditional business hours to support local and international
