G-TECH Services, Inc. Design Engineer in Saline, Michigan
Position is for development support, field issue resolution and production part changes for exterior lighting and body functional parts (hinges, handles, mirrors, sunroofs, etc.).
Investigate and make countermeasures for current production field issues (multiple projects).
Investigate cost and mass reduction ideas and implement engineering changes as directed by TMNA R&D team members.
Work closely with R&D team members to get direction from them on each issue that is identified, and provide daily reports to them about your progress.
Report status weekly to R&D management (written), and support regular status report to project management.
Also prepare and present monthly reports to each project status.
Make and keep schedule, develop design changes and issue drawing and associated paperwork for engineering changes.
Plan and follow-up thier schedule (parts evaluation, design study and design change implementation) and confirm thier meeting of our client's performance requirements.
Report all new issues timely to leaders.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
Understand and application of standard engineering theory, principles and problem solving techniques.
Provide evidence of analytical and problem solving abilities.
Provide evidence of ability to effectively coordinate projects.
CATIA V5 capability.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with suppliers, design, and management.
Previous work experience within the automotive industry highly preferred.
