G-TECH Services, Inc. Sr. IT Network Administrator in Walled Lake, Michigan

Position Summary:

We are looking for someone who has strong, proven work experience as an IT Administrator. This person will have to take initiative, be adaptable, and enjoy working with other people. If you love the IT field and enjoy helping people with their technical problems, we want to meet you!

Responsibilities:

  • Use an established Help Desk system to monitor and track problem tickets and technical support issues.

  • Ensure timely and considerate service to end-users.

  • Utilize any and all available resources to conduct computer diagnostics in order to determine the nature of problems and provide technical support.

  • Install and perform minor repairs to hardware, software, and peripheral equipment following local design requirements.

  • Virus / Spyware Detection and Removal

  • Creating user accounts and managing access control based on company policy using Active Directory

  • Write documentation for the IT knowledge base.

  • Maintain and assure confidentiality of data

  • Maintain and assure compliance with all IT policies and procedures

  • Assist with daily tasks in an effort to maintain various compliance standards

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

  • Assist with monitoring and performance optimization of server environment

  • Assist with Vulnerability Management and system patching

Requirements:

  • 5 or more years of work experience supporting Windows Server environments

  • 3 or more years of work experience supporting Microsoft SQL and/or Microsoft IIS

  • 3 or more years of Powershell scripting work experience

  • Technical knowledge of server hardware and accessories

  • Ability to install, configure, and support Microsoft Windows & Server

  • Experience with G Suite preferred

  • Experience in general troubleshooting skills

  • Experience with Windows 7, 8, & 10

  • Experience with Microsoft Server 2012-2019

  • Experience with VMWare ESXi and vSphere a plus

  • Experience with Debian based Linux a plus

  • Intermediate knowledge of networking principles

  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

  • Self-motivated and detail oriented

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Exceptional customer service orientation
