Job Description

  • The Electrical Facilities Engineer is responsible for managing the of scope of work for a given project including: bid pack definition, supplier selection coordination, electrical facilities design to support Paint Process Equipment, interfacing electrical requirements for paint process equipment to building electrical, electrical installation, and commissioning

  • Coordinate paint shop layout. Review contractor scope of work, design drawings to comply with Paint Shop electrical specifications and construction accepted practices

  • Understand the latest controls technology, especially Rockwell Programmable Logic Controllers and computer interfaces.

  • Have a basic understanding of software design necessary to interface PLCs to equipment and computers out in the field

  • Coordinate contractor site installation activities, conducting and recording electrical engineering meetings

  • Monitor start-up, debug and validation of systems

  • Develop punch list with completion follow up

  • Ensure the building electrical is capable of supporting the electrical load required for the project

  • Coordinate the wiring of FIS and PFS as required by each system process

  • Interface and support corporate teams to ensure all network / devices are provided as required for the project

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering combined with equivalent work experience

  • 5+ years of Manufacturing and/or Facility Engineering experience

  • Electrical design and build, contractor coordination and launch experience

  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Available and willing to travel in support of programs

Preferred Requirements

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering

  • Experience with automotive paint shop electrical processes

  • Experience in Microsoft Office Project

  • Project Management experience a plus
