G-TECH Services, Inc. PLC Programmer in Wayne, Michigan
Primary responsibilities
n Prepare PLCs to customer specifications
n Improve cycle time and throughput by adjusting tooling or functions
n Create and modify Ladder, FBs logic and User Frames
n Create programs and program complex paths
n Assist PLC with auto debug
n Setup interference zones
n Establish communications to PLC, robots and external equipment devices
n Assist in the integration, start-up and debugging of plant floor equipment
n Provide support in the analysis and resolution of welding failures
n Installation and configuration of appropriate hardware and software options
n Ability to perform electrical diagnosis, recommend repair or repair as needed
n Provide on-going customer service
n Provide support to assembly operators and plant skill trades about robot functionality
n Properly document changes and updates
n Maintain work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follow prescribed safety procedures
n Travel will be required (Typically 2 weeks at a time with a weekend home for, may vary by distance or customer requirements. Install lengths range from 3 months to a year depending on the size of the job) to customer facilities to set up or modify automation processes impacted by robot issues and resolve such issues
Minimum Qualification
n 2 year’s work related experience
n High School Diploma or GED equivalent
n Technical Certification in PLC programming preferred (e.g. AB Guard logic, Siemens Integra, Omron safety)
n Good understanding of mechanical systems
n Knowledge of MIG or spot welding
n Ability to read schematics and other drawings
n Self-motivated and hands on
n Ability to follow written/verbal instructions and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
n Knowledge of at least one of the following PLC systems (AB, Siemens, Omron, etc.)
n Experience with Microsoft Office Applications
n Strong written and oral communication skills
n PLC & HMI: AB Guard Logix, Siemens S7 with TIA portal, Omron Sysmac studio with safety.
n Networks: Ethernet, Devicenet, Profinet communication with Robots, Sealer, Vision systems, etc.
n Excellent organization skills with strong teamwork and leadership skills
n Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Autocad, ePlan.
